It's hard to believe that last year I had a nursing child who couldn't quite walk yet.
There are lots of great things about being two. Walking, eating, dancing, demanding things with actual words. There are your siblings who mostly think you're awesome, or at least easily forgivable. There are your parents who still consider you the baby. There is a little bit of freedom combined with that sweet sweet innocence that gives you the coordination to blow on your cake when it comes to you with two lit candles, yet not to know that they actually blew out because your mother blew too. All you see is the fun and the delight; you'll still be singing the birthday song the morning after. It's nice to have a year to see it (and sing it) with her.
