I wish I could freeze her at this perfect age. She's still a baby with her little chubby body, her baby lips, her wispy hair, the waving and clapping and crawling and laughing. But she's starting to walk, stumbly style. And she's getting more independent--knowing more what she wants and figuring out how to get it. She's not to that super cling-on stage yet. She smiles any time she sees any of us in her family, even if we're grumpy and don't deserve it. She's still a sweet little bundle of short-limbed flesh. Oh, yes, I love this age. Of course, I'll love the other stages too. But babies, they're the perfect little bundles of love (and softness).
Happy Birthday, Little Girl.
